Problem Statement

Traditional terrain mapping and land surveying methods are often plagued by slow turnaround times, high labor costs, and significant safety hazards. Acquiring accurate, comprehensive spatial intelligence over massive or dangerous project areas requires a faster, safer, and more scalable approach.

Traditional optical surveys and standard photogrammetry cannot penetrate thick canopy cover or dense vegetation. This leaves project teams blind to true ground-level elevation data, compromising the accuracy of baseline planning.

Ground-based data collection across expansive, complex, or linear acreage takes weeks to execute, process, and compile. This slow turnaround bottlenecks fast-moving infrastructure development and engineering design validation.

Deploying traditional ground surveying crews into rugged, hilly terrains, dense forests, or landslide-prone zones introduces severe safety hazards. Managing these large crews over thousands of hectares drives up labor hours and stretches project budgets.

Sparse single-point data collections often fail to capture the complete geometric reality. This makes it incredibly difficult to identify micro-topography changes, structural risks, or right-of-way encroachments along long linear utility corridors.

Our Solutions

AECA Solutions overcomes traditional surveying bottlenecks by deploying advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and high-precision mapping sensors. By combining aerial LiDAR, photogrammetry, GNSS corrections, and on-site control references, we produce complete, context-rich geospatial datasets that deliver absolute terrain confidence.

Digitally reconstruct real-world terrain, even through dense canopy, with centimeter-level vertical precision using our drone-based LiDAR mapping. Typical vertical accuracy is within 5–10 cm, allowing teams to map ground levels and undergrowth flawlessly.

We deploy premium German-engineered Quantum Systems Trinity Pro fixed-wing VTOL drones. Built for long-range missions in demanding terrains, a single flight can cover up to 700 hectares and achieve survey-grade PPK GNSS accuracy without relying on heavy ground infrastructure.

For unparalleled visual clarity, we integrate the professional-grade Sentera 65R sensor. Packing a 65-megapixel global shutter camera, it delivers an incredible 0.45 cm Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) at 125 feet, generating pristine orthomosaics and detailed structural models.

We combine multiple remote sensing layers into standardized outputs that plug directly into platforms like ArcGIS, QGIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Deliverables include classified point clouds (.las, .laz), Digital Terrain Models (DTMs), Surface Models (DSMs), contours, and volume calculations.

Our workflows are purpose-built for surveyors, planners, and engineers across Malaysia. We support elevation modeling for road alignments, slope assessments for disaster monitoring, biomass estimation for forestry, and volumetric tracking for earthworks.
