Key features
What solid state changes for a sensor that lives on a vehicle roof.
No moving parts
A true solid-state design removes the spinning assembly that is the usual wear point on a vehicle-mounted scanner, which matters when the sensor runs every working day.
Built for road surfaces
Designed around pavement measurement rather than adapted from a general-purpose scanner, so rut depth, texture and profile are the primary outputs.
Traffic-speed capture
The network is surveyed while driving with the traffic, so there are no lane closures and no crew standing on a live carriageway.
Repeatable measurement
Consistent geometry between runs, which is what allows one survey to be compared against the last and deterioration to be tracked as a trend.
Technical specifications
Figures depend on the sensor variant and the vehicle configuration.
Full specifications on request Range, point density and accuracy differ across the XenomatiX range, and effective resolution also depends on survey speed and mounting geometry. AECA supplies current manufacturer documentation and a configuration matched to your network and reporting standard.
Use cases
Pavement condition survey
Rutting, cracking, texture and profile measured across a network to produce objective condition scoring.
Road asset inventory
Geometry captured alongside condition, so signs, kerbs, markings and furniture can be positioned in the same pass.
Construction acceptance
Measured surface geometry on newly laid pavement, checked against specification rather than sampled by hand.
Autonomous and ADAS mapping
High-fidelity road surface data for the base maps that automated driving functions are validated against.
